About MINEX
What is MINEX Technology?
A B2B marketplace for the minerals industry. Producers publish supply and get verified, buyers search, post requests and compare offers, and both sides talk directly.
Is MINEX a trader, broker or exchange?
No. MINEX is a technology platform. It does not buy, sell or hold minerals and is not a party to any transaction.
How does MINEX make money?
Through subscriptions: USD 49 per month for producers and USD 149 per month for buyers, with 10% off yearly plans. No commissions on deals.
Who is behind MINEX?
MINEX is led by Managing Director Marcelo Zelasco and a leadership team of six, with mining professionals and consultants in mining operations, operational excellence and SAP. See the Investors page.
For producers
Who can list supply?
Mining companies, cooperatives, associations, processors and suppliers, including small scale and artisanal producers that operate legally or are formalising.
Can I offer only part of what a buyer needs?
Yes. Many requests accept several suppliers. You offer the quantity you can ship and the buyer combines offers into one parcel.
Do I set my own prices and terms?
Yes. Prices and terms are agreed directly between you and the buyer.
What is verification?
You submit company, permit, origin and assay documents. MINEX reviews them and shows a badge on your profile and listings that buyers can filter by.
For buyers
What can I do on the marketplace?
Search and filter supply, post sourcing requests, receive and compare offers, combine lots from several producers, browse the supplier directory and talk to producers directly.
Why combine several producers?
Large mines usually sell by annual offtake in very large parcels. If you need a few hundred tonnes, several smaller producers can give you the parcel and more choice of origin and grade.
Are listings verified?
Producers can complete document verification and show a badge. It is a document review, not a guarantee. Always do your own due diligence.
Demos, tutorials and pricing
Can I try the platform now?
Yes. The marketplace preview, buyer demo, producer demo, animated walkthrough and video tutorials are all open. Demo data is illustrative.
Where is my demo data stored?
Only in your own browser. Nothing is sent to MINEX. Document contents are never uploaded in the demos.
Which currencies and crypto do you accept?
Major currencies and cryptocurrencies, including stablecoins. Payment processing opens with production services.
Is there a yearly discount?
Yes. Yearly plans cost 10% less than twelve monthly payments.
Responsibility and legal
Does MINEX handle payments, shipping or contracts?
No. Payment, logistics, contracts and compliance are handled between the parties.
Does a badge mean MINEX guarantees a company?
No. A badge shows that documents were submitted and reviewed. It does not certify quality, legality or performance.
