Volume should never be a barrier.
Small and artisanal producers keep many mineral regions alive, but the market is built around large parcels and paperwork they cannot easily show. MINEX gives them visibility and a way to prove they are credible.
Large mines sell by annual offtake. Small producers have the minerals but not the reach, the paperwork or the volume. Buyers cannot find reliable small suppliers.
Parcels are too big
Smelters and large traders buy in parcels of thousands of tonnes. A producer shipping tens of tonnes a month is invisible to them.
Credibility is hard to show
Registrations, permits, assays and chain of custody sit in paper files. Buyers cannot see them, so they walk away.
Buyers cannot find suppliers
Independent traders and mid size buyers have demand, but no efficient way to find and compare reliable smaller producers.
Many small lots, one parcel.
A buyer posts a request. Several producers offer the tonnes they can ship. The buyer combines the best offers and talks to each producer directly.
Large mines usually sell through annual offtake contracts in parcels of thousands of tonnes. A parcel of a few hundred DMT is often too small for them, so the buyer has little choice or leverage.
Illustrative example with sample producers. Quantities are monthly output in dry metric tonnes (DMT). Not an offer and not market data.
Where small scale mining shapes whole regions.
Peru is one of the world's major mining countries. Alongside the large mines, artisanal and small scale producers support communities across the Andes and the Amazon basin, and moving from informal to formal operation is an everyday topic. Pick a region to see what buyers usually ask for.

Documents turn small producers into credible suppliers.
Formalisation and traceability are what international buyers and refiners ask for. In MINEX a producer submits company, permit, origin and assay documents, MINEX reviews them, and a badge appears that buyers can filter by.
Submit documents
Registration, tax, mining title, origin declaration and representative ID.
MINEX reviews
A document review for completeness and apparent consistency.
Badge appears
On the profile and on every listing the producer publishes.
Buyers filter by it
Credible small suppliers become easy to find.
Verification shows that documents were submitted and reviewed. It does not certify quality, legality or performance. Every buyer and producer should still do its own due diligence.
What we hold ourselves to.
No commissions
MINEX earns from subscriptions, not from deals, so it has no reason to favour the biggest parcel over the best supplier.
Producers keep control
They set their own prices, terms and counterparties, and decide what to share.
Responsible sourcing
We expect participants to follow recognised due diligence standards, such as the OECD guidance for minerals from conflict affected and high risk areas.
Open about limits
MINEX connects the parties. Contracts, payment, logistics and compliance stay between them.
